Digital Control Unit (DCU 410) (1) - The DCU is the main user interface. The DCU displays engine data such as oil pressure and coolant temperature on the main screen. The panel also shows alarms in the alarm list and can be configured from the menu. The center section of the DCU is a touchscreen that permits navigation and selection.Menu Button (2) - The first display screen is shown by pressing and releasing the menu button. To view the menu, press and hold for one second.Up Button (3) - This button is used to scroll up through the screens or menu items.Down Button (4) - This button is used to scroll down through the screens or menu items.Soft Buttons (5) - The function of the soft buttons changes depending up the screen that is active. The current function will be indicated on the screen.Engine Control Switch (ECS) (6) - The engine control switch (ECS) has three positions. The (OFF) position is on the left This position turns off the key switch to the DCU and ECM. The "Local" position is located in the middle. In this position, only the local control panel can start or stop the engine. The local throttle is enabled. The "Remote" position is on the right. This position disables local starting or stopping of the engine. Remote control is enabled. Local E-Stop and crank override still work in this position.Emergency Stop Button (E-Stop) (7) - Immediately stops the engine and removes power from the ECM.Power Indicator (8) - Lights up when the DCU has power. The power indicator will light up even if the key switch is turned off.Alarm List Button (9) - Shows or hides the alarm list. If the alarm list is already on the screen and the buzzer is active, this button will silence the buzzer instead.Start Button (10) - Start the engine. Depending on the configuration, the button may have to be held down until the engine reaches running speed.Stop Button (11) - Stop the engine. Depending on the configuration, the button may have to be held down until the engine fully stops.Throttle (Lower/Raise) Switch (12) - Controls engine speed. When the ECS (6) is set to "Local" mode, this throttle is enabled. The genset engine will go to the rated speed. The genset engine can then be adjusted by this throttle. The propulsion engine will remain at the current speed until the local throttle is turned to within 50 rpm of the current speed. At this point, the engine will follow the local throttle command. For the MGCP IIIB, press the left arrow to decrease engine speed and the right arrow to increase engine speed. For the MECP IIIB, rotate the knob counterclockwise to decrease engine speed. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase engine speed.
