PROBLEM
The 573-5792 insulation blanket needs to be installed on the outlet tube of CEM housing to protect the NOx sensor and temperatures sensors. Without the correct insulation blanket around the outlet flange the temperatures in the area may cause the sensor to fail do to high temperature. The existing insulation is not enough protection for the NOx and temperature sensors.

ACTION REQUIRED
Prior to repair refer to Safety Section in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
Install insulation blanket on around outlet of the CEM to protect the sensors.
1. Move existing insulation up off the flange on top of the CEM.
2. Loosen the bolts in the flange and turn the bolts and nuts over so nuts are on top. Make sure bolts are torqued to spec when reassemble in correct position.
3. Remove exiting insulation from around sensors and outlet tube on the CEM. The tube is where the sensors are mounted.
4. Move insulation on top of CEM back away from the tube so new insulation can be positioned correctly around tube and touch the top of the CEM.
5. Install insulation blanket 573-5792 by starting on the side where the sensor are located. Put insulation into place then hook latches to keep insulation held tight.
6. Move insulation on top of CEM back into place against the new insulation blanket 573-5792 just installed.
7 Install new NOx sensor 441-5128 and temperature sensor 373-5283.
8. Pull existing installed insulation down tight around the nuts of the bolts on the flange and fasten insulation securely. Then make sure the 573-5793 insulation is pulled up tightly around the flange and over the existing insulation on exhaust stack.
9. Then plug in sensors to the correct sensor connection in the sensor box located on top of the CEM.
