Information:
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped, and the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill plug located on the top of the hydraulic oil tank.
At operating temperature, the engine cooling system is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap on the radiator is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
2. Release the pressure in the cooling system by slowly loosening the fill cap on the radiator. 3. Open the access door for the radiator. Open valve (1) to drain the coolant from the radiator. The capacity of the cooling system is 55 liters (14.5 U.S. gal).4. Remove the hood from the machine. The weight of the hood is 158 kg (350 lb). 5. Remove the cotter pin and washer from the back side of throttle cable (3). Loosen nut (2), and disconnect the throttle cable from the governor control lever.6. Remove the access door for the main hydraulic pump.7. Remove the twenty bolts, washers, cross brace and the three panels that separate the engine from the main hydraulic pump. 8. Remove the four socket head bolts that hold suction pipe (4) to the back side of the main hydraulic pump. Move the suction pipe clear of the main hydraulic pump. 9. Put identification marks on eight hoses (5) that are connected to the main hydraulic pump. Disconnect the hoses from the pump. 10. Put identification marks on the two wiring harnesses that are connected to the electric starting motor. Disconnect wiring harnesses (6) and (7) from the starting motor. Remove support clip (8). Disconnect ground wire (9) from the starting motor. 11. Remove support clip (10). Remove support clip (11) from the back side of the alternator.12. Disconnect wiring harness (12) from the alternator. 13. Remove the six bolts and washers that hold upper fan guard (13). Remove the upper fan guard.
Do not damage the radiator core during removal of the fan assembly.
14. Remove the seven nuts that hold fan assembly (14). Remove the fan assembly 15. Remove electrical connectors (15) and (16) from the support clips. Disconnect connectors (15) and (16).16. Disconnect fuel lines (17) and (18). Put plugs in the lines to keep dirt and debris out of the fuel system. 17. Loosen the clamps that hold upper radiator hose (19) and lower radiator hose (23). Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses at the radiator.18. Loosen the clamp, and disconnect air inlet hose (21) at the air cleaner assembly.19. Close two heater valves (20). Put identification marks on two heater hoses (22). Disconnect the two heater hoses from the heater valves. 20. Remove the one nut and support clip (24). Remove the bolt and support clip (25). 21. Remove electrical connector (28) from the support clip, and disconnect the connector.22. Remove the bolt and support clip (26) from muffler condensation tube (27). 23. Remove two bolts (29) from the pump housing for installation of tool (A). Install tool (A) at these locations.24. Fasten a lifting sling to tool (A). Fasten a hoist to the lifting sling and the lifting bracket on the front of the engine as shown. The front and rear rubber engine mounts are the same.25. Remove bolt (30), two washers (31) and upper rubber mount (32) from the front engine mounts.26. Remove bolt (30), two washers (31) and upper rubber mount (32) from the rear engine mounts.27. Remove the engine and main hydraulic pump from the machine as a unit. The combined weight of the engine and main hydraulic pump is 1270 kg (2800 lb). 28. Remove lower rubber mounts (33) and nut plates (34) from the frame of the machine. 29. If necessary, remove front mounting brackets (35) and rear mounting brackets (36) from the engine. The following steps are for the installation of the engine and main hydraulic pump. 30. Install front mounting brackets (35) and rear mounting brackets (36) on the engine.
Visually check the condition of upper rubber mounts (32) and lower rubber mounts (33). If the rubber mounts are damaged or appear to be worn or compressed, use new parts for replacement.
31. Put lower rubber mounts (33) in position over the engine mounting holes in the frame.32. Position the washers and nut plates (34) in their respective positions beneath the frame as shown. 33. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the engine and main hydraulic pump as shown. Put the engine and main hydraulic pump in position in the machine. 34. Install upper rubber mounts (32), washers (31) and bolts (30). Tighten bolts (30) to a torque of 450 49 N m (330 36 lb ft). 35. Remove tool (A) from the pump housing. Reinstall two bolts (29). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft). 36. Install support clip (26) on muffler condensation tube (27).37. Connect electrical connector (28), and install it in the support clip as shown. 38. Reinstall support clips (24) and (25). 39. Connect heaters hoses (22) to heater valves (20). Open the heater valves.40. Connect air inlet hose (21) to the air cleaner assembly.41. Connect upper radiator hose (19) and lower radiator hose (23) to the radiator. 42. Connect fuel lines (17) and (18).43. Connect electrical connectors (15) and (16), and install them in the support clips.
Do not damage the radiator core during installation of the fan assembly.
