This guideline contains the specifications for reusing viscous and rubber vibration dampers in 3500 engines. A damper that meets specifications found in this guideline should perform until the next overhaul when used in the same application.A used damper must be inspected for the following symptoms: damage from dents , heat , discoloration, bulges and fluid leakage for viscous dampers, and rubber degradation for rubber dampers.
