2. Fasten a hoist to the bracket assembly and remove four bolts (1). The weight of the fan drive is 28 kg (62 lb.). Install Fan Drive
1. Fasten a hoist to the bracket assembly and put the bracket assembly into position on the automatic timing advance cover. The weight of the fan drive is 28 kg (62 lb.).2. Install the four bolts that hold the bracket assembly in position. 3. Connect hose (2) to the bracket assembly.end by:a) install fan belt tightenerb) install fanc) put lubrication in the fan drive bearings (see MAINTENANCE GUIDE)Disassemble Fan Drive
start by:a) remove fan drive1. Remove bolt and washer (1) from hub (4). 2. Remove O-ring seal (2) and pin (3) from hub (4). 3. Remove hub (4) and pulley (5) from the bracket assembly.4. Remove bolts (6) that hold pulley (5) to hub (4). 5. Use tooling (A) to remove pulley (5) from the hub. 6. Remove spacer (7) from the bracket assembly shaft or from seal (8).7. Remove bearing (11) and spacer (10) from the end of hub (4).8. Remove seal (8), then bearing (9) from the other end of hub (4). 9. If necessary, use a press and push shaft (12) out of bracket (13) in the direction shown. Shaft (12) has a shoulder on it and can only be removed from the back of bracket (13). 10. Use a hammer and punch to remove the pin that holds belt tightener shaft (14) in bracket (13). 11. Use a press and push shaft (14) out of bracket (13) as shown. Assemble Fan Drive
1. Put the dowel hole in shaft (2) in alignment with the dowel hole in fan drive bracket (1). Use a press and install shaft (2) in bracket (1).2. Install pin (3) to hold shaft (2) in bracket (1). 3. Use a press and push shaft (4) in bracket (1) from the back until the shoulder on shaft (4) is against the bracket. 4. Install bearing (5) in hub (6). 5. Install the seal in hub (6) over bearing (5). Make sure the lip of the seal is toward the outside as shown. 6. Put pulley (7) in position on hub (6) and install the bolts to hold the unit together. 7. Put clean grease on the lip of the seal in the hub. Install spacer (8) on the fan drive bracket with the chamfer toward pulley (7). 8. Install pulley (7) and the hub on the fan drive bracket.9. Install spacer (9) over the shaft in hub (6). 10. Install bearing (10) over the shaft in hub (6). 11. Install pin (11) in the shaft. 12. Install O-ring seal (12) on the hub and put clean grease on the seal.13. Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the bolt. Engage the hole in washer (13) with pin (11) and install the bolt and washer (13) to hold the fan drive together. Tighten the bolt to atorque of 212 12 N m (156 9 lb.ft.).end by:a) install fan drive
