Problem
The 4W6358 Bolts and 9Y3830 Washers that were used to hold the counterweight on the crankshaft in some of the 3500 series family of engines need to be removed from parts stock. These bolts and washers have been canceled and replaced by 7E4201 Bolts and 7E4725 Washers. The new bolt has a larger radius between the head and shank. The larger radius is also rolled for added toughness. The new washer is heat treated and has chamfers on its inside diameter for clearance of the bolt radius.These improvements make the bolt resistant to failure at the radius.
Action Required
Remove all 4W6358 Bolts and 9Y3830 Washers from parts stock. Replace the bolts and washers that were removed from parts stock with 7E4201 Bolts and 7E4725 Washers.

Submit one claim for all 4W6358 Bolts and 9Y3830 Washers that were removed from parts stock.
