6 16 352-6061 Liner Seal Assemble dry liner seal on clean and dry cylinder liner grooves. Just prior to inserting cylinder liners in the cylinder block cover the liner seals with P-80 rubber lubricant. Immediately install cylinder liner before liner seal can expand.
7 48 7N-2046 O-Ring Seal Just prior to inserting cylinder liners in the cylinder block apply, P-80 rubber lubricant or liquid soap on the grooves for the O-ring seals and on the O-ring seals. Also, lubricate the bottom of the cylinder block bore. Immediately install the cylinder liner before the O-ring seals can expand.
8 36 7X-7925 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the crankshaft bearing cap bolts:
1. Before assembly, lubricate the threads completely with clean engine oil.
2. Hand tighten the bolts in the tapped holes.
3. Tighten the bolts in the numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 3 to 190 14 N m (140 10 lb ft).
4. Again, tighten the bolts for an additional angle of 180 5 degrees.
