Introduction
A 490-1990 Kit - AFTM (CLG) for the C7.1 engine has been introduced.Required Parts
The 490-1990 Kit - AFTM (CLG) contains the parts that are listed in table 1.Before starting this procedure a 303-0383 clip and a 479-6574 Spacer will need to be ordered.

( 1 ) Before starting this procedure a 479-6574 Spacer will need to be ordered.
( 2 ) Before starting this procedure a 303-0383 "P" clip will need to be ordered.Installation Procedure
Performing welding operations on the Clean Emissions Module (CEM) must be carried out by personnel with the correct training.
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Welding on Engines with Electronic Controls" before starting the installation procedure.
Remove the DEF injector. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Use suitable material or a device to protect the mounting faces of the DEF injector on the Clean Emissions Module (CEM).

Position bracket 409-1988 (1) (not shown) onto bracket 469-9110 (3). Ensure that the bracket is correctly orientated.Note: The brackets have number stamped on the brackets. Refer to Illustration 3 for the correct position.
Install bolt 6i-0631 (2) M6 x 12 mm (0.47 inch) finger tight to secure the bracket. Ensure that the bolt is installed into the correct Position (W) refer to Illustration 2 for the correct location.
Position bracket 409-1989 (5) (not shown) onto bracket 469-9110 (3). Ensure that the bracket is correctly orientated.Note: The brackets have number stamped on the brackets. Refer to Illustration 2 for the correct position.
Install bolt 6i-0631 (1) M6 x 12 mm (0.47 inch) finger tight to secure the bracket.
Position bracket assembly 469-9110 (3) onto the original bracket (4) on the CEM. Note: Bracket (4) is already installed on the CEM.
Install bolt 6i-0631 (7) M6 x 12 mm (0.47 inch) to bracket assembly 469-9110 (3) and tighten the bolt securely.
Ensure that the bracket is correctly aligned and also ensure that and bracket 490-1988 (1) (not shown) and bracket 490-1989 (5) (not shown) are fully in contact with CEM.
