Ensure that all adjustments and repairs that are carried out to the fuel system are performed by authorized personnel that have the correct training. Before beginning ANY work on the fuel system, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information and High Pressure Fuel Lines" for safety information. Refer to System Operation, Testing, and Adjusting, "Cleanliness of Fuel System Components" for detailed information on the standards of cleanliness that must be observed during ALL work on the fuel system.

Remove 304-3713 Tube (4) .
Remove the fuel priming pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Priming Pump - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Remove 304-3708 Tube (1), 304-3706 Tube (2) and 304-3707 Tube (3) .
If necessary, remove the pipe for the boost pressure.
Remove the secondary fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Base - Remove and Install (Secondary Fuel Filter)" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, remove the electrical connection for the air filter.
Remove the bolts from the mounting bracket. Remove the mounting bracket from the cylinder head.

Paint the surface (5) that is exposed by the removal of the bracket. Refer to illustration 2.Installation Procedure

Install the hose for the crankcase breather through the eye on the bracket before bracket (1) is installed to the engine. Ensure that the hose is located above the electrical connection. Refer to illustration 3 and illustration 4.

Install 338-8069 Bracket (1) to the cylinder head.
If necessary, install the electrical connection for the air filter. Attach the electrical connection for the air filter to 338-8069 Bracket (1) with cable ties.

Install 6I-0217 Bolts (3) to 338-8075 Bracket As (2). Install 338-8075 Bracket As (2) to 338-8069 Bracket (1) .
Install 124-3815 Bolts (4) to 338-8069 Bracket (1) .
Tighten bolts (3) and (4) to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).
