Problem
The 3T6352 Alternator requires a direct positive voltage connection on its positive terminal in order to provide an output. On certain 3406, 3408, and 3412 Fire Pump Engines a resistor needs to be installed for this alternator to work correctly.

Action Required
Drill two 3.7 mm (.144") diameter holes in the approximate location shown in Illustration 1. Install the resistor using the nuts, screws, and lockwashers listed. Connect the wires to the resistor as shown in Illustration 2 and Illustration 3. Make sure the wire labeled CB5-1-RES is connected to terminal #1 of circuit breaker CB5.
