Start By:
Remove the exhaust elbow from the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Elbow" for the correct procedure.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Plug and cap all open ports and tube assemblies.

Loosen hose clamps and disconnect the hose assemblies from turbocharger inlet (7) and from turbocharger outlet (6) (not shown).
Remove banjo bolt (5) from tube assembly (8). Remove sealing washers (4) (not shown).
Remove clip (9) from tube assembly (8) and tube assembly (14) .
Slide hose clamp (1) along hose assembly (2). Disconnect hose assembly (2) from the wastegate actuator.
Remove bolt (3) and bolt (11) for tube assembly (10) .
Slide hose clamp (12) along the hose assembly. Remove tube assembly (10) .
Remove bolts (13) tube assembly (14) .

Remove nuts (18). Remove turbocharger (15) from exhaust manifold (20) .Note: Do not use the actuator rod to lift the turbocharger.
Remove gasket (19) (not shown).
Remove gasket (16) (not shown) from tube assembly (14) .
If necessary, remove the studs (17) (not shown) from turbocharger (15) .

If necessary, follow Step 12.a through Step 12.f in order to remove tube assembly (8) and tube assembly (14) .
Remove clip (25) from tube assembly (8) and tube assembly (14) .
Remove banjo bolt (23) from tube assembly (8). Remove sealing washers (24) (not shown).
Remove bolts (21) and spacer (22) (not shown).
Remove tube assembly (8) .
Remove bolts (26) and remove tube assembly (14) .
Remove gasket (27) (not shown).Installation Procedure

Ensure that turbocharger (15) is clean and free from damage. Inspect the turbocharger for wear. Refer to System Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Turbocharger Inspect" for more information. If the turbocharger is worn, the complete turbocharger must be replaced.
