Remove bolts (13) and housing assembly (14) from the governor plate. 11. Remove seat (15), the washers and spring (16) from the seat. 12. Remove the bolts, governor plate (19) and the gasket from the fuel injection pump housing.
The drive assembly must be removed from the governor plate before the governor plate is installed for correct alignment. The drive assembly can be damaged if it is installed with the governor plate and is not in alignment with the drive pinion assembly.
13. Use tooling (B) to remove snap ring (17) from the gear assembly.14. Remove the ring, the spring, drive assembly (18) and the ring from the gear assembly.Install Governor
1. Move the fuel rack to make sure tool (A) is in place in the slot of the rack. The racks are in the center (zero) position.2. Install a new gasket and governor plate (2) on the fuel injection pump housing. Make sure the dowels on the governor plate are in alignment with the holes in the fuel injection pump housing and lever (1) is correctly engaged into the notch of the fuel rack. 3. Install ring (4) and drive assembly (3) into the gear assembly. Make sure the slot in the drive assembly is engaged into the dowel of the pinion assembly in the fuel injection pump housing. Also be sure the holes in the ring and the drive assembly are in alignment with the dowels in the gear assembly. 4. Install spring (7) and ring (6) into the gear assembly. Use tool (B) to install snap ring (5) into the groove of the gear assembly. 5. Install spring (9), a wave washer, a flat washer, a wave washer and seat (8) on the seat as shown. 6. Remove tool (A) from the fuel injection pump housing and install the plug.7. Put a gasket and housing assembly (10) in position on the governor plate and install the bolts that hold it. 8. Put the spring and collar (11) in position on the bolt and install bolt (12) that holds them. 9. Put the gasket and cover assembly (13) on the housing assembly. Install the bolt that holds it. 10. Install the gaskets, plate assembly (14) and cover (15) on the cover assembly. 11. Connect clip (17) to the housing assembly.12. Connect fuel lines (16) to the governor plate. 13. Connect link assembly (20) to the governor shaft. Install the bolt and the nut that hold it.14. Connect lever assembly (18) to the governor shaft. Tighten the bolt and install the nut.15. Connect bracket assembly (19) to the top of the governor. Install the bolts that hold it.16. Check the governor adjustment. See Governor Adjustment in Testing And Adjusting.END BY:a) install fuel ratio controlDisassemble Governor
