50167-ZZ5-000 Honda HOLDER, MOUNTING (UPPER)

1. Turn the shutoff valve on the bottom of the fuel tank to the "OFF" position. 2. Open the access door over the fuel filters. Remove bolts (1) and cover assembly (2) from the side of the fuel tank. 3. Put identification on electric wires (5) as to their location on the pressure sensor unit and disconnect the wires.4. Disconnect fuel lines (3) and (4) from the fuel filter base. 5. Loosen nut (6) and remove case (7) and the filter element from the filter base.6. Use tool (A) and remove filter assemblies (8) from the filter base. 7. Disconnect fuel lines (11), (12) and (13) from fuel filter base (9).8. Remove the four bolts (10) and remove filter base (9) from the side of the fuel tank. 9. Disconnect fuel line (14), the two bolts, block (16) and fuel priming pump (15) from the side of the fuel tank. The following steps are for the installation of the fuel filter base.10. Put priming pump (15) and block (16) in position and install the bolts. Connect the fuel line to block (14).11. Put fuel filter base assembly (9) in position and install the bolts to hold it to the fuel tank.12. Connect fuel lines (11), (12) and (13) to fuel filter base (9).13. Install the filter element, case (7) and seal on the filter base. Tighten nut (6) to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb.ft.).14. Put clean diesel fuel on the seal of filters (8) and install the filters as to the instructions on the outside of the filters.15. Connect fuel lines (3) and (4) to the filter base.16. Connect electric wires (5) to the fuel pressure sensor unit.17. Install cover assembly (2) over the filter base on the fuel tank.18. Turn the fuel supply on and remove (bleed) the air from the fuel system.Disassemble And Assemble Fuel Filter Base
Start By:a. remove fuel filter base 1. Remove cover (1) from base assembly (2). 2. Use tool (A) to remove ring (4) and pull nut (3), the washer and seal from base assembly (2).3. Remove pressure sensor unit (5) from base assembly (2).4. Remove valve (6) from base assembly (2).5. If necessary, remove studs (7) from base assembly (2). The following steps are for the installation of the fuel filter base.6. Put 5P3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads of studs (7) 7.6 0.5 mm (.30 .02 in.) from the taperlock end. Install studs (7) in base assembly (2) and tighten them to a torque of 70 14 N m (50 10 lb.ft.).7. Put 5P3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads of pressure sensor unit (5) and install the unit in base assembly (2).8. Put the seal, washer and nut (3) in position. Use tool (A) to install the ring to hold nut (3) in the base assembly.9. Install the O-ring seal and valve (6) in base assembly (2).10. Install the gasket and cover (1) on the base assembly.End By:a. install fuel filter base
