Loosen jam nuts (28).27. Disconnect accelerator and decelerator cables (26) from governor pulley (27). 28. Remove strap clamp (31). Pull the governor cables away from the engine.29. Disconnect air intake heater power leads (36) (not shown).30. Disconnect shutoff solenoid wires (33).31. Disconnect speed sensor indicator (30).32. Remove three strap clamps (29). Pull wiring harness away from the engine.33. Disconnect engine ground strap (32).34. Loosen hose clamp (34).35. Disconnect muffler drain hose (35). 36. Loosen hose clamp (37).37. Loosen hose clamp (42).38. Remove upper radiator hose (38).39. Loosen bolts (41).40. Loosen bolts (39).41. Remove bolts (41). If equipped, a two section shield will also be removed at the same time as the upper and lower fan guards.42. Remove bolts (39) that hold the upper guard.43. Remove upper guard (44).44. Remove bolts (39) that hold the lower guard.45. Remove lower guard (43).46. Remove eight bolts (40) around the fan shroud. 47. Disconnect oil pressure switch wires (47).48. Disconnect two cables (45).49. Disconnect two wires (46).50. Remove starter cable support (48). 51. Disconnect all wiring (50) to the alternator.52. Disconnect air conditioning compressor connector (53).53. Disconnect coolant temperature sensor (49).54. Remove five strap clamps (52).55. Move wiring harness (51) from the engine. 56. Release the tension in air conditioning compressor V-belt (54).57. Remove four bolts (56).58. Set air conditioning compressor (55) on the frame of the machine.
Be very careful since the freon has NOT been removed by a freon reclaimer. The pressure of the freon could cause personal injury.
59. Loosen the hose clamp on the lower radiator hose.60. Disconnect the radiator side of lower radiator hose (57). 61. Attach tool (A) to engine as shown. 62. Support the engine with a chain and suitable lifting device. 63. Remove two bolts (58) from left front and left rear supports (59).64. Remove two bolts (60) from right front and right rear supports (61). 65. Lift engine and main hydraulic pump from the engine compartment.
Raise engine and pump slowly to check for additional lines or connections that could be damaged during removal.
Refer to the topic, "Main Hydraulic Pump" for additional information on separating the main hydraulic pump and coupling from the engine. For installation of the engine, reverse the removal steps.66.
