Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Remove bolts (2) from the tube assembly and remove gasket (1) (not shown).
Remove nut (3) and disconnect harness assembly (4) from the glow plug.
Disconnect harness assembly (5) from harness assembly (6).
Remove nuts (8) and bolts (9).
Remove bolts (7) and bolts (11). Remove bracket (13).
Remove bolts (10) and bolts (12). Remove bracket (14).

Disconnect the hose assembly from connection (15). Refer to Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM) for the correct procedure.
Disconnect tube assembly (16) from Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD) (20).
Disconnect harness assembly (17) and harness assembly (23) from the injectors for ARD (20).
Remove bolts (19) from ARD (20). Support the ARD as the bolts are removed.
Remove ARD (20) from bracket (21).
Remove gasket (17) (not shown).
If necessary, remove exhaust elbow (22) from ARD (20). Refer to exhaust elbow between the ARD and the Clean Emission Module (CEM) Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure. Installation Procedure

Ensure all components of the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD) are free from wear or damage. Replace any components that are worn or damaged.

If necessary, install exhaust elbow (22) to ARD (20). Refer to exhaust elbow between the ARD and the Clean Emission Module (CEM) Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Position a new gasket (17) (not shown) onto ARD (20).
Position ARD (20) onto bracket (21). Install bolts (19) to ARD (20). Support the ARD as the bolts are installed.
Install nuts (8) and bolts (9). Tighten the nuts and the bolts to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
Tighten bolts (19) to a torque of 60 N m (44 lb ft).
Connect harness assembly (17) and harness assembly (23) to the injectors for ARD (20).
Connect tube assembly (16) to ARD (20). Tighten the tube nut on the tube assembly to a torque of 20 N m (177 lb in).
Connect harness assembly (4) to the glow plug. Install nut (3) to the glow plug. Tighten the nut to a torque of 1.5 N m (13 lb in).
Position a new gasket (1) (not shown) between the tube assembly and the ARD.
Install bolts (2) to the tube assembly. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
Connect harness assembly (5) to harness assembly (6).
Connect the hose assembly onto connection (15).Refer to Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM) for the correct procedure.
Position bracket (13) onto bracket (21). Install bolts (7) and bolts (11) hand tight.
Position bracket (14) onto bracket (21). Install bolts (10) and bolts (12) hand tight.

Install a new gasket to exhaust elbow and position the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) onto the brackets. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diesel Particulate Filter - Install" for the correct procedure.
Install nuts (26) and bolts (27) hand tight.
Position bracket (30). Install the nuts and bolts (24) and the nuts and bolts (29). Ensure that when the nuts and bolts are tightened that there is equal cap between both brackets.
Position bracket (32). Install the nuts and bolts (25) and the nuts and bolts (31). Ensure that when the nuts and bolts are tightened that there is equal cap between both brackets.
Tighten nuts (26) and bolts (27) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
Tighten the nuts and bolt (24), nuts and bolt (29), nuts and bolt (25), and nuts and bolt (31) to a torque of 15 N m (133 lb in). Ensure that when the nuts and bolts are tightened that there is equal cap between both brackets.
Tighten bolts (7), bolts (11) (not shown), bolts (10) and bolts (12) (not shown) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
Turn the fuel supply to the ON position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
