Information:
Start By:a. remove radiator guardb. remove engine bottom guardsc. remove drive shaft**This procedure is in the POWER TRAIN, DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section. 1. Remove the transmission oil cooler. Remove the air cleaner. Remove air cleaner support and elbow (1). 2. Remove governor control linkage (2). 3. Put a mark of identification on the connection of heater hoses (3) and disconnect heater hoses (3). 4. Disconnect wires (4) at the sending unit on the rear of the right cylinder head. 5. Disconnect tube (5) for the ether starting aid. 6. Remove wiring harness connectors (6) from the clips and disconnect the wiring harness connectors. 7. Put marks of identification on the wiring connections (7) and (8) at the starter motor and starter solenoid and disconnect the wires. 8. Disconnect fuel lines (9) and put caps and plugs in the line openings for protection of the fuel system.
Follow Steps 1 through 4 as given in Remove Implement Pump in Vehicle Systems Disassembly And Assembly section. Failure to do so can cause personal injury and loss of hydraulic system oil.
9. Remove implement pump pressure oil line (10). 10. Disconnect pressure control valve (12) from implement pump (11).11. Disconnect oil pump inlet line (13) at implement pump (11). 12. Remove guard (14) from over the air conditioner compressor drive belts.13. Remove guard (15) from over the transmission oil pump drive shaft. 14. Remove transmission pump drive shaft (16) and coupling (17). 15. Remove guard (18). 16. Remove plates (19) and (20). 17. Remove plate (21). 18. Disconnect wiring harness (23) from the torque converter outlet relief valve and from the engine.19. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler inlet line (22) at the torque converter outlet relief valve. 20. Disconnect lines (24) and (25) at the torque divider. 21. Disconnect hose (26) from the bottom of the torque divider. The oil on the torque divider housing will drain at this time. 22. Remove plate (27). 23. Remove heat shield (28). 24. Fasten tooling (A), (B) and (C) to the engine. Make adjustment to tooling (A) and (C) so the engine will hang at the angle shown. 25. Remove the support mounting caps (29) from each side of the machine. 27. Remove the engine front support bolts (30) from each side of the engine. 28. Remove engine (31) from the machine as shown as the engine is lifted until the rear mounting supports clear the frame mounted supports. The weight of the engine and torque divider is 2340 kg (5200 lb.).Install Engine And Torque Divider
1. Inspect the mount assemblies on the engine supports mounted on the flywheel housing. Make a replacement if necessary.2. Use tooling (A), (B) and (C) and a hoist to put the engine in position in the machine.3. Engage the rear mounting supports on the flywheel housing with the frame mounted supports and lower the engine until the front supports contact the frame. 4. Install bolts (1) on either side of the engine. 5. Install engine rear support caps (2) on either side of the engine. 6. Install exhaust heat shield (3). 7. Install plate assembly (4). 8. Make sure the O-ring seal is installed in the stem on hose (5). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal and connect the lower hose (5) to the torque divider. 9. Connect hoses (6) and (7) at the top of the torque divider. 10. Connect hose (9) and electric wires (8) at the torque converter outlet relief valve. 11. Install plate (10). 12. Install plates (11) and (12). 13. Install transmission pump drive shaft lower guard (14), coupling (15) and drive shaft (13). 14. Install transmission pump drive shaft upper guard (16). 15. Install a new O-ring seal in line (18), put clean oil on the O-ring seal and connect implement pump oil inlet line (18) to implement pump (17). Fill the implement pump with hydraulic oil before pressure control valve (19) and oil line (20) are installed.16. Install O-ring seals in the ends of pressure control valve (19) and put clean hydraulic oil on the O-ring seals. Connect pressure control valve (19) to implement pump (17). 17. Put new O-ring seals in the ends of line (20). Put clean hydraulic oil on the seals and install implement pump pressure oil line (20). 18. Connect fuel lines (21). 19. Install governor control rod (23) and boot (22) through the plates and connect the end of governor control rod (23) to the lever. 20. Connect the electric cables (24) and wiring to the starting motor and solenoid according to identification of connection. 21. Connect the wiring harness connectors (26) and put clips (25) over the connector junctions. 22. Connect tube (27) for the ether starting aid. 23. Connect the wire (28) to the sending unit at the rear of the right cylinder head. 24. Connect heater hoses (29) according to previous marks of identification. 25. Connect governor control rod (23) to the governor control lever. 26. Install the O-ring seals on the elbow for the air cleaner housing support. Install the elbow and support (24) on the engine. Install the air cleaner. Install the transmission oil cooler.27. Fill the transmission with clean oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.28. Remove (bleed) the air from the fuel system.End By: a. install drive shaft*b. install engine lower guardsc. install radiator guard*This procedure is in the Power Train, Disassembly And Assembly Manual.Separation Of Torque Divider From The Engine
