"Equipment ID"
The customer can assign an "Equipment ID" for identification."Engine Serial Number"
The engine serial number is programmed into the ECM at the factory. The number is stamped on the engine Information Plate."ECM Serial Number"
The ECM serial number is programmed into the ECM at the factory."Software Group Part Number"
Part number of the flash file that is currently installed in the ECM."Software Group Release Date"
Release date of the flash file that is currently installed in the ECM."Software Group Description"
Description of the application for the flash file that is currently installed in the ECM.Selected Engine Rating
"Rating Number"
The "Rating Number" is a factory password protected parameter that will control the engine rated power trim. The available options for this rating number parameter are 1, 2 or 3. Each rating number represents a SCAC temperature rating. Parameter 1 means 54° C SCAC, parameter 2 means 43° C and parameter 3 means 32° C. The lower the SCAC temperature means the higher the power output. This parameter is set to the purchased rating from the factory.Timing Control
"First Desired Timing"
The "First Desired Timing" is determined with the methane number of the primary fuel that is used. Use the Engine Performance Sheet, "Fuel Usage Guide".Note: Determine the desired timing by using the Caterpillar Software, LERW4485, "Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP)" with the results that are from the fuel analysis. Use of only the data from the gas analysis can result in incorrect settings.Gaseous Fuel Parameters
"Fuel Quality Input Type Configuration"
This parameter is used to select the type of Lower Heating Value (LHV) input. The default setting is"Configured Value". This setting is used when the LHV input is set by the operator in ET. Select the"4 to 20 mA" setting when a gas chromatograph uses 4 to 20 mA to represent the LHV of the fuel. This setting is most often used in landfill applications."Fuel Quality"
This parameter is programmed to the Lower Heating Value (LHV) of the primary fuel. The fuel ratio control of the ECM will compensate for some inaccuracy in this setting. The ECM assumes a corrected value that is equal to the customer programmed "Fuel Energy Content" that is multiplied by the "Fuel Correction Factor". This factor is displayed on the Cat ET screen. An event code is generated if the "Fuel Correction Factor" exceeds a limit that is programmed at the factory. The event code will indicate the need to reprogram this value. Obtain a gas analysis in order for this parameter to be accurately programmed."Fuel Quality Sensor L
