Information:
Start By:a. remove hood
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Lower the blade to the ground.b. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.c. Adjust the position of the bucket so it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.d. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.e. Shut off the engine, and put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Lock" position.f. Move the control levers for the boom, bucket, stick and swing through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.g. Slowly loosen the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.h. Tighten the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank.i. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.2. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the hydraulic oil tank. Install the ecology drain valve to drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank. Drain the oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 188 liters (49.6 U.S. gal).3. Open the left rear access door of the engine compartment.
Hoses (6) may have to be cut in order to be removed from the hydraulic oil cooler.
4. Remove four clamps (4), and slide hoses (6) off of the hydraulic oil cooler. It may be necessary to cut the hoses to remove them.5. Remove two wing nuts (1) and screen assembly (3) from the hydraulic oil cooler.6. Remove tie wrap (5) and clamp (7). Move radiator overflow tube (2) out of the way of the hydraulic oil cooler.7. Remove eight bolts (8) that hold the hydraulic oil cooler in position.
During removal and installation, do not damage the hydraulic oil cooler.
8. Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to hydraulic oil cooler (9) as shown. Carefully remove the hydraulic oil cooler. The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler is 39 kg (85 lb). The following steps are for the installation on the hydraulic oil cooler.9. Check the condition of the hydraulic oil cooler prior to installation. Remove any dirt or debris that may restrict the flow of air through the core. If any of the cooling fins are bent, they should be straightened prior to installation of the of the cooler. 10. Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to hydraulic oil cooler (9) as shown. Carefully put the hydraulic oil cooler in position against the support assembly for the radiator. 11. Install eight bolts (8) that hold the hydraulic oil cooler in position.12. Slide two hose assemblies (6) into position. Tighten four clamps (4).13. Put screen assembly (3) in position over the hydraulic oil cooler. Install two wing nuts (1) to hold it.14. Put radiator overflow hose (2) in position. Install a new tie wrap (5) and clamp (7).15. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.End By:a. install hood
