When reporting the repair, use "PI10422" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10422" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. New EMS, Engine, and Machine Software need tobe installed on certain AP-655C, AP-1000D, and AP-1055D Asphalt Pavers;and on certain Barber-Greene and BG-2455D Asphalt Pavers manufactured byCaterpillar. The existing software groups may allow unexpected movementof the machine, cause RPM fluctuation, cause RPM surging, and/or not identifymachine serial number prefixes correctly. 1. Flash the Machine ECM with 281-1807 SoftwareGroup. Calibration will be required. Machines that do not have a decel pedaloption will require decel pedal to be uninstalled in the configurationscreen before the machine calibration process is started. AP-1000D &BG-260D machines that do not have front wheel assist will require frontwheel assist to be uninstalled in the configuration screen before the machinecalibration process is started. If the configuration is changed the keyshould be cycled off and back on to store the new configuration. The machinemay now be calibrated.2. Flash the EMS 3 with 280-3639 Software Group.3.
