"Node" - Displays the node number of that terminal"Baud" - Displays the baud rate of the network."Comm LED" - no communication established."Fault LED" - The LED will be OFF for the normal operating state and will blink if an application is not loaded or if there is a problem with the application. If the LED is ON, there is a hardware failure. In order to change the Node, press the "Node" button on the touchscreen. The numeric entry scratchpad will appear. Enter the node address of the terninal and press the enter button on the touchscreen. If you enter a value that is greater than the maximum node address, the value will be accepted and the maximum node address will automatically be updated. A node address change takes effect immediately. In order to change the baud rate, press the "Baud" button on the touchscreen. The terminal will step through the following baud rates with each press of the "Baud" button:
57.6 k
115.2 k
230.4 kThe length of the cable is restricted for higher baud ratesThe selected baud rate will take effect immediately.Press the "EXIT" button on the touchscreen in order to return to the "CONFIGURATION MODE" menu.DF1 Communications

"DHCP/BootP Enable" - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol automatically allocates network devices and configurations to newly attached devices on a TCP/IP network. When "DHCP/BootP Enable" is "Enabled", the Panelview terminal is automatically assigned an "IP Address" and a "Subnet Mask". These fields will be read only. Select "Disable" in order to manually enter an "IP Address" or a "Subnet Mask"."IP Address" - A unique address that identifies the terminal on the network. The address is formatted as four sets of decimal numbers with periods between them. The range of numbers for the first set of numbers is 1 to 255, unless all of the fields are set to 0. The range of numbers of the last three sets of numbers is 0 to 255. The default value is 0.0.0.0. A change is not effective until the terminal is reset. The following table shows the IP addresses that Caterpillar recommends using.

The subnet mask is formatted as four sets of decimal numbers with periods between them. The range of numbers for the first set of numbers is 1 to 255. The range of numbers of the last three sets of numbers is 0 to 255. The value 0.0.0.0 is not a valid subnet mask."Interscan Delay" - The length of time that the Panelview terminal will pause before the terminal will re-read data from the logic controller.
