Introduction
Do not perform any procedure that is outlined in this publication until you understand the information that is contained in this document.This Special Instruction describes the procedure for installing new level sensors for the engine and torque converter sumps on 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks.The 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp is a powered sensor. The sensor harness assemblies that are installed connect the sensor to the engine ECM and provide power from the temperature sensor circuit. This action does not affect the temperature sensor operation. No software change is needed to implement the new oil level sensors.Note: Before beginning the following procedures, ensure that the oil is drained from both engine sumps and from the torque converter sump.Installing the New Oil Level Sensor on the Front Engine Assembly

Plug the existing P-C15 left turbo exhaust temp connector into the 360-6694 Sensor Harness As "Y" connector.
Plug HN-C6 into the connector for the left turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor.
Route the 360-6694 Sensor Harness As to the existing oil level sensor group.
Remove the existing oil level sensor.
Install a new 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp using a new 2M-9780 O-Ring Seal .
Plug HN-C1 into the connector for the 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp .
Plug HN-C4 into the existing oil level harness connector P-C29.

Plug the existing PA-E6 connector for the right turbocharger exhaust temperature into the 360-6695 Sensor Harness As "Y" connector.
Plug HH-C6 into the connector for the right turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor.
Route the 360-6695 Sensor Harness As to the existing oil level sensor group.
Remove the existing oil level sensor.
Install a new 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp using a new 2M-9780 O-Ring Seal .
Plug HN-C1 into the connector for the 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp .
Plug HN-C4 into the existing oil level harness connector PA-C20.

Plug HN-C6 into the connector for the torque converter temperature sensor.
Route the 353-7508 Sensor Harness As to the existing oil level sensor group.
Remove the existing oil level sensor and discard.
Install a new 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp using a new 2M-9780 O-Ring Seal .
Plug HN-C1 into the connector for the 330-9321 Liquid Level Sensor Gp .
