Install Tooling (A) in the cylinder block in Holes (X) .Note: New bolts have sealant on the first 13 mm (0.5 inch) of the threads. In order to reuse the old bolts, clean the old sealant from the bolts and apply Tooling (C) to the bolts.Note: Ensure that the engine oil pan is properly supported while the engine oil pan (6) is installed onto the cylinder block.
Position a new gasket (7) and the engine oil pan (6) on the cylinder block. Install bolts (3) and (5) in order to secure the engine oil pan to the cylinder block. Tighten the bolts finger tight.
Remove the Tooling (A) and install the remaining bolts (3) and (5) . Tighten the bolts (3) in Hole (Y) to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).
Tighten the remaining setscrews (3) and (5) to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).
Inspect the O-ring seal for the drain plug (9) . Replace the O-ring if it is necessary. Install the O-ring seal and drain plug (9) . Tighten the drain plug to a torque of 34 N m (25 lb ft).
