Revision Summary of Changes
02 Entire core document has been modified. Introduction
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information. The 588-3516 Support As and 596-1933 Support As have a 0.8 mm (0.03 inch) drilled oil hole in the base of the stand to provide oil spray to the inboard intake valve. The previous vintage 525-1901 Support As and 533-5779 Support As had a 1.6 mm (0.06 inch) oil hole in the base of the stand to provide oil spray to the inboard intake valve. The oil hole is drilled in a lower location on the stand compared to the newest vintage of rocker stand. The previous vintage 373-5448 Support As and 367-0491 Support As did not have an oil hole orifice drilled into the rocker stands. This procedure will provide information to machine the oil hole into the previous versions of the C175 support assembly, and if applicable, information to plug the old 1.6 mm (0.06 inch) drilled hole location. This will allow the reuse of previous vintage part numbers and incorporate the improvement in the 588-3516 Support As and 596-1933 Support As.Safety Section
