2 16 8T-0099 Dowel Extension of the dowel is 20.0 0.5 mm (0.79 0.02 inch).
- - - Thickness of the spacer plate is 12.333 mm (0.4856 inch).
3 8 6V-3348 O-Ring Seal Lubricate the bore lightly with sealant that is being sealed.
4 5 223-1696 Crankshaft Bearing Cap Install crankshaft bearing caps with the part number and FRONT toward the front of the block. Each cap has a number. Each cap must be installed in the same position as the correct number on the side of the cylinder block pan rail.
Width in the cylinder block for crankshaft bearing cap is 339.985 0.015 mm (13.3852 0.0006 inch).
A 10 116-1359 Camshaft Bearing The camshaft bearing joint must be on the horizontal centerline of the bore.
Oil holes must be positioned from horizontal at an angle (B) of 20.0 0.5 degrees as shown in Illustration 1.
After installation, bore is 86.00 0.06 mm (3.386 0.002 inch).
C - - New dimension from centerline of crankshaft bearing bore to the top of the block is 586 mm (23.1 inch).
D - - Width of the crankshaft bearing cap is 340.030 0.015 mm (13.3858 0.0006 inch).
E - - New dimension from centerline of crankshaft bearing bore to bottom of block (pan rails) is 230.00 mm (9.055 inch).
F - - Bore in the block for the crankshaft bearings is 169.742 0.020 mm (6.6827 0.0008 inch).

6 8 352-6061 Liner Seal Assemble dry seals on clean and dry liner grooves.
Before assembly, cover seals with either P-80 Rubber Lubricant Emulsion or liquid soap.
7 24 7N-2046 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, cover seals with either P-80 Rubber Lubricant Emulsion or liquid soap.
8 20 7X-7925 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the crankshaft bearing cap bolts.
1. Before assembly, Lubricate the threads with clean engine oil .
2. Tighten the bolts by hand.
3. Tighten the bolts in the numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2 to 190 14 N m (140 10 lb ft).
4. Again tighten the bolts to an additional angle of 180 5 degrees
