Remove two bolts (39) and washers.42. Remove frame support (38). 43. Disconnect ground strap (40). 44. Loosen two bolts (41).45. Remove water spray pump V-belt (42). 46. Disconnect throttle linkage (43). Reposition for engine removal. 47. Loosen four bolts (44) to allow pump drive to move on mounting plate (45). 48. Loosen adjusting bolt (46) and adjusting nut (47) to relieve pump drive V-belts tension. 49. Remove four bolts (48) and washers from coupling group-torque mounting plate (51).
There are two plates (50) (not shown in photo) that will fall from the machine when four bolts (48) are removed. Make sure no one is under the machine at this time or personal injury could occur.
50. Remove four bolts (52) from flexible coupling (53).51. Move the coupling group-torque mounting plate (51), sheave (49) and flexible coupling (53) away from the engine to remove pump drive V-belts (54) from the engine. The weight of the coupling group-torque is 68 kg (150 lb). 52. Open cutter guard doors leading to the cutter drive V-belts.53. Reposition air lines for engine and power take-off removal.57. Remove three bolts (55) and washers.58. Move power take-off mounting plate (56) away from mainframe to allow clearance during engine removal. Shim may or may not be located between the power take-off mounting plate (56) and the mainframe. Place shim in original location during the installation procedure. 59. Remove bolt (63).60. Remove bolt (65).61. Remove brace (64). 62. Open power take-off access doors for clearance if not done previously.
Brace (64) has been removed, be careful of the opening while completing the engine and power take-off removal or personal injury could occur.
63. Remove bolt (66).64. Swing gate (67) open for clearance while removing engine and power take-off. If the engine and power take-off can be lifted high enough to pass over the radiator or the railing in the opposite direction, the engine and power take-off can be removed as a unit following Steps 65 through 69. If not, the radiator and oil cooler must be removed by following Steps 70 through 72. Make this determination before beginning procedure. 65. Attach a hoist and a chain to the engine lifting brackets to support the engine while completing the last few steps of the removal procedure. 66. Remove two bolts (68) and washers from front engine support (70).
There is a plate (69) (not shown in photo) that will fall from the machine when two bolts (68) are removed. Make sure no one is under the machine at this time or personal injury could occur.
