System configuration parameters affect the emissions and the power of the engine. Default values for the parameters are programmed at the factory. Some parameters may be changed by the customer in order to suit the needs of the specific application.Parameter Descriptions
"Equipment ID"
"Equipment ID" allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 17 characters may be entered in the field. This parameter is only for reference by the customer. This parameter is not required."Engine Serial Number"
Program the "Engine Serial Number" to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. The engine serial number is not preprogrammed on a replacement ECM."Rating Number"
The rating number corresponds to the selected set of performance maps that has been selected for this application. There may be more than one set of performance maps that are available for this engine. All of the maps are resident in the flash file for the engine.Note: Factory passwords are required in order to change the "Rating Number"."Top Engine Limit" (TEL)
This parameter is the maximum engine rpm when the engine is under load. The engine will still achieve top engine speed under no load conditions."Engine Idle Speed"
"Engine Idle Speed" is the minimum allowable operating speed for the engine. This parameter can be programmed between 700 and 1000 rpm."FLS" (Full Load Setting)
"FLS" is a number that represents the adjustment to the fuel system that was made at the factory in order to fine tune the fuel system. The correct value for this parameter is stamped on the engine information plate. Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."FTS" (Full Torque Setting)
"FTS" is similar to "FLS". Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."Idle Shutdown Timer"
The idle shutdown timer allows the engine to continue running after the keyswitch is turned to the OFF position."Idle Shutdown Time"
This parameter allows the operator to adjust the delay for engine shutdown."Lighting Shutdown Timer"
The "lighting shutdown timer" allows a set of lights on the tractor to remain illuminated after the keyswitch is turned to the OFF position."Lighting Shutdown Timer Duration"
This parameter allows the operator to adjust the delay for lighting shutdown."Deceleration Pedal"
The parameters for the deceleration pedal allow the deceleration pedal to be "Installed" or "Not Installed". The parameters for the deceleration pedal also allow the adjustment of RPM for the idle set point."Ground Speed Radar Installation Status"
The "ground speed radar installation status" allows the ground speed radar to be "Installed" or "Not Installed"."Ether Control"
Program the "Ether Control" to "Enabled" if an ether injection system is installed on the engine. This allows the ECM to control ether injection. If the engine is not equipped with ether, program this parameter to "Disabled"."Throttle Position Sensor"
Program the "Throttle Position Sensor" to "Installed" if a throttle position sensor is used for desired speed control. Otherwise program this parameter to "Not Installed"."Coolant Level Sensor"
Program the "Coolant Level Sensor" to "Installed" if a coolant level sensor is installed on the engine. Otherwise program this parameter to "Not Installed".System Configuration Parameters
