2. Disconnect the hose from pipe (1). 3. Make an identification of wires (2). Disconnect three wires (2) from the solenoid. 4. Disconnect the hose from pipe (3) and remove the pipe.5. Put identification on the wires. Disconnect three wires (4) from the switch. 6. Put identification on wires (5) and (6). Disconnect wires (5) and (6) from the starter. 7. Disconnect temperature sending unit (7) and remove bolt and clip that hold the wire to the engine. 8. Remove the bolts and guard (8). Put the bolts back into position in the radiator. 9. Remove bolts (11) and then remove shield (9).10. Disconnect fuel line (10) from the priming pump. 11. Remove clip (12) that holds the wire for the temperature sending unit.12. Turn off water supply (13). Loosen the clamp and disconnect hose (15).13. Disconnect two wire harnesses (14). 14. Remove the cotter pin and pin (17) from the governor solenoid.15. Loosen locknut (16) and remove governor control cable. 16. Disconnect two fuel lines (18). 17. Disconnect line (19) from the side of the engine block.18. Put identification on wires (20) and disconnect the wires. 19. Disconnect fuel lines (25) from the piston pumps.20. Disconnect oil lines (21) and (22).21. Loosen hos clamps (23) and disconnect hose (24). 22. Disconnect oil lines (26) and (27). 23. Install tooling (A) as shown on the pump drive housing. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A) and the engine as shown. 24. Remove two bolts (28) on each side that holds the engine front mounts to the frame. 25. Remove two bolts (29) and mounting pads on each side of the engine.
Make a final check to be sure that all removals and disconnections have been made.
26. Remove the engine, pump drive and radiator as a unit from the machine. The weight of this unit is 2150 lb. (968 kg).Install Engine, Pump Drive And Radiator
1. Install tooling (A) on the pump drive housing as shown. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A) and the engine.2. Make sure the lower half of the engine rear mounts (1) is in position as shown.3. Lower the engine into position.4. Make an alignment with the bolt holes in engine front mounts with the threaded holes in the frame. 5. Install two bolts (2) in the engine front mounts on each side of the engine. 6. Install rear mount assemblies (3) and bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 650 80 (870 110 N m). 7. Put hose (7) in position and tighten hose clamps (6).8. Connect oil lines (5) and (8).9. Connect fuel lines (9) to the piston pumps. 10. Connect oil lines (10) and (11). 11. Connect two wires (13) to the sending unit.12. Connect oil line (12). 13. Connect two fuel lines (14). 14. Make a connection between throttle cable (16) and the governor control lever. Install the cotter pin and pin.15. Put the throttle cable in position and tighten locknut (15). 16. Put heater return hose (20) in position and tighten the hose clamp. Open valve (17) for the coolant return.17. Connect two wire harnesses (19). Put the temperature sending unit wire in position and install clip (18). 18. Connect fuel line (21) to the primary pump.19. Put shield (22) in position and install the bolts. 20. Install guard (23) and the bolts that hold it to the radiator. 21. Put temperature sending unit (24) in position. Install the clip that holds sending unit wire to the engine. 22. Connect wires (25) and (26) to the starter. 23. Put pin (28) in position and connect the oil line to it.24. Connect three wires (27) to the sending unit. 25. Connect three wires (29) to the solenoid. 26. Connect oil line (30) to the hydraulic oil cooler.27. Disconnect the supply lines from the hydraulic pumps and fill the pumps with hydraulic oil. Connect the supply lines.28.
