If equipped, use the following procedures in order to tighten the bracket for the fuel pump and the bracket for the timing cover to the cylinder heads:Note: Use clean engine oil to lubricate the threads of the bolts prior to installation.Note: Tighten the bolts only after the cylinder head bolts have been given final torque. (30) Use the following procedure to tighten the bolts:
Position the fuel pump brackets over the bolt holes that are in the cylinder head. Install the bolts (30) through the bracket. Finger tighten the bolts.
Remove the two bolts from the fuel pump in order to install the bolts (29) .
Align the fuel pump against the fuel pump brackets and install the bolts (29). Tighten the bolts to the standard torque.

Position the housing support over the bolt holes that are in the cylinder head. Install the bolts (31) through the supports. Finger tighten the bolts.
