Information:

2. Mark the locations of two hoses (2) on purge valve (1) for assembly purposes. Disconnect two hoses (2) from purge valve (1). 3. Remove two bolts (3) and the washers that secure platform (4) to the top of the engine. 4. Remove two bolts (5) and the washers that secure platform (4) to the front of the engine.5. Remove platform (4) from the engine. 6. Cut wire tie (6) that secures the alternator electrical wire assembly to the clip. Position the alternator electrical wire assembly away from the engine. 7. Remove bolt (7), the washer, the clip, the slot clamp and the spacer that secures tube (8) to the front of the engine. 8. Disconnect rail pressure control valve sensor (9) at the electrical connection.9. Mark the locations and disconnect and plug hose (10) and tubes (11) and (12) from the unit injector hydraulic pump. 10. Cut wire ties (16). Disconnect and plug hose (17).11. Remove bolt (14), the washers and the nut that secures two clips (13) together. Position hose (15) away from the engine.12. Disconnect and plug tube (8). 13. Remove bolt (18), nut (19) and the washers that secure the hose to tube (8). 14. Disconnect oil temperature sensor connector (21) and oil pressure sensor connector (20) at the electrical connections.15. Remove three bolts (22) and the washers that secure the unit injector hydraulic pump to the unit injector hydraulic pump drive. 16. Remove two bolts (23) and the washers that secures the unit injector hydraulic pump to the unit injector hydraulic pump drive. 17. Attach a lifting sling to unit injector hydraulic pump (24) as shown. Attach the lifting sling to an appropriate lifting device. Remove unit injector hydraulic pump (24) from the engine. The weight of the unit injector hydraulic pump is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).18. Remove the O-ring seals from unit injector hydraulic pump (24). The following steps are for the installation of the unit injector hydraulic pump.
Check all O-ring seals for damage or wear, and replace the seals with new parts if necessary.
19. Install the O-ring on unit injector hydraulic pump (24). Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.20. Attach a lifting sling to unit injector hydraulic pump (24) as shown. Attach the lifting sling to an appropriate lifting device.21. Place unit injector hydraulic pump (24) in position on the engine. 22. Install two bolts (23) and the washers. 23. Install three bolts (22) and the washers.24. Connect oil temperature sensor (21) and oil pressure sensor (20) at the electrical connections. 25. Install bolt (18), nut (19) and the washers through the clamps on the hose and tube (8). 26. Connect tube (8) to the unit injector hydraulic pump.27. Install bolt (14), the washers and the nut that secure two clips (13) together.28. Connect hose (17) to the unit injector hydraulic pump.29. Install wire ties (16) that secure hose (15) to hose (17). 30. Connect rail pressure control valve sensor (9) at the electrical connection.31. Connect hose (10) to the fuel transfer pump.32. Connect two tubes (11) and (12) according to the markings made during removal. 33. Install bolt (7), the washers, the clip, the slot clamp and the spacer that secures tube (8) to the front of the engine. 34. Install wire tie (6) that secures the alternator electrical wires to the clip. 35. Place platform (4) in position on the engine. 36. Install two bolts (5) and the washers that secure platform (4) to the front of the engine. 37. Install two bolts (3) and the washers that secure platform (4) to the top of the engine.38. Connect two hoses (2) on purge valve (1) according to the marks made during removal.
