4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 1.50 0.20 mm (0.059 0.008 inch).
Crown with four bolts for Piston and Rings:
1. Width of groove in new piston is 5.160 0.010 mm (0.2032 0.0004 inch).
2. Width of piston ring is 4.965 0.025 mm (0.1955 0.0010 inch).
3. Clearance between groove and piston ring is 0.160 0.230 mm (0.0063 0.009 inch).
4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 1.50 0.20 mm (0.059 0.008 inch).
Install with "UP-1"(1).
2 - Intermediate Ring Crown with single bolt for Piston and Rings:
1. Width of groove in new piston is 5.155 0.015 mm (0.2030 0.0006 inch).
2. Width of piston ring is 4.977 0.012 mm (0.1959 0.0005 inch).
3. Clearance between groove and piston ring is 0.150 to 0.205 mm (0.0059 to 0.0081 inch).
4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 3.00 0.20 mm (0.118 0.008 inch).
Crown with four bolts for Piston and Rings:
1. Width of groove in new piston is 5.160 0.010 mm (0.2032 0.0004 inch).
2. Width of piston ring is 4.977 0.012 mm (0.1959 0.0005 inch).
3. Clearance between groove and piston ring is 0.161 0.205 mm (0.0063 0.0081 inch).
4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 3.00 0.20 mm (0.118 0.008 inch).
Install with "UP-2"(2).
3 - Oil control Ring Crown with single bolt for Piston and Rings:
1. Width of groove in new piston is 8.05 0.500 mm (0.317 0.020 inch).
2. Width of piston ring is 7.976 0.011 mm (0.3140 0.0004 inch).
3. Clearance between groove and piston ring is 0.053 to 0.095 mm (0.0021 to 0.0038 inch).
4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 1.10 0.20 mm (0.043 0.008 inch).
Crown with four bolt for Piston and Rings:
1. Width of groove in new piston is 8.05 0.500 mm (0.317 0.020 inch).
2. Width of piston ring is 7.976 0.011 mm (0.3140 0.0004 inch).
3. Clearance between groove and piston ring is 0.053 to 0.095 mm (0.0021 to 0.0038 inch).
4. End gap for the piston ring that is installed in 300 mm (11.8 inch) bore is 1.10 0.20 mm (0.043 0.008 inch).
Install with "UP-3"(3).
- - - Crown with four bolts for Piston:
1. Bore in piston for pin is 120.040 0.015 mm (4.7260 0.0006 inch)(4).
2. Diameter of pin is 119.994 0.006 mm (4.7242 0.0002 inch).
3. Clearance between piston pin and bore is 0.040 to 0.067 mm (0.0016 to 0.0026 inch).
- - - Crown with single bolt for Piston:
1. Bore in piston for pin is 120.025 0.100 mm (4.7254 0.0039 inch)(5).
2. Diameter of pin is 119.994 0.006 mm (4.7242 0.0002 inch).
3. Clearance between piston pin and bore is 0.015 0.047 mm (0.0006 0.0019 inch).
(1) The top ring must be installed with the "UP-1" mark toward the top of the piston.
(2) The intermediate ring must be installed with the "UP-2" mark toward the top of the piston.
(3) The oil control ring and the ring expander must be installed with the gaps 180 degrees across from each other. The white colored portion of the ring expander must be visible through the oil control ring gap.
(4) The measurement is taken inside the groove on the tapered pin bore.
(5) The measurement is the straight pin bore.
