32417 Mariner SCREW, FLEXIBLE PLATE TO FLYWHEEL (5/8")

1. Loosen hose clamps (1) that secures the hose to the breather assembly.2. Remove fume disposal tube (2) from the engine. 3. Disconnect two windshield washer tubes (3) from the reservoir.4. Remove bolt (4), the washers and the nut holding the dipstick tube to the bracket assembly.5. Cut tie strap (5) holding windshield washer tubes (3) to the dipstick tube. 6. Remove tie straps (6) that hold the wiring harness to bracket assembly (8).7. Remove bolt (7), the washers and the nut that hold bracket assembly (8) in position.8. Remove bracket assembly (8). 9. Remove bolt (9), the washers and the nut that holds dipstick tube (10) to the bracket.10. Remove dipstick tube (10) from the engine. 11. Remove clamp (13) that holds left side exhaust manifold (12) to the crossover manifold.12. Remove eight locknuts (11), the washers and the spacers.13. Remove the gasket from the engine and the exhaust manifold. 14. Loosen hose clamp (14). 15. Remove fume disposal tube (15) from the engine. 16. Remove clamp (16) that holds right side exhaust manifold (18) to the crossover manifold.17. Remove eight locknuts (17), the washers and the spacers that hold right side exhaust manifold (18) in position on the engine.18. Remove right side exhaust manifold (18) from the engine.19. Remove the gasket from the engine and the exhaust manifold. The following steps are for the installation of the left side exhaust manifold. 20. Put a new gasket in position on the studs on the left side of the engine.21. Apply 2P-2333 Manifold Sealerto the outside diameter of the male ends of the exhaust manifold before installation.22. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compoundon the nut end of all the studs.23. Coat the inside of the female end of exhaust manifold (12) with clean engine oil.24. Put left side exhaust manifold (12) in position on the engine.25. Install eight locknuts (11), the spacers and the washers. Tighten the eight locknuts (11) in the number sequence as shown to a torque of 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft). 26. Put dipstick tube in position on the side of the engine. Install bolt (9), the washers and the nut. 27. Put bracket assembly (8) in position and install bolt (7), the washers and the nut.28. Install a new tie strap (6) holding the wiring harness to bracket assembly (8). 29. Install bolt (4), the nut and the washers holding the dipstick tube to the bracket assembly.30. Install a new tie strap (5).31. Connect two windshield washer tubes (3) to the reservoir. 32. Put a new gasket in position on the studs on the right side of the engine.33. Apply 2P-2333 Manifold Sealerto the outside diameter of the male ends of the exhaust manifold before installation.34. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compoundon the nut end of all the studs.35. Coat the inside of the female end of exhaust manifold (18) with clean engine oil.36. Put right side exhaust manifold (18) in position on the engine.37. Install eight locknuts (17), the spacers and the washers. Tighten eight locknuts (17) to a torque of 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft)in the same number sequence as the left side exhaust manifold. 38. Install fume disposal tube (15). 39. Tighten hose clamp (14) that holds fume disposal tube (15) to the breather cap.
