During cold weather the keyswitch will need to be in the heat position for a time period to allow the glow plug operation. Some systems will have a wait to start lamp.
The wait to start lamp must be extinguished before starting the engine. If the engine is warm, heat from the glow plugs will not be required to start the engine.
