Note: Use clean engine oil to lubricate the threads of the cylinder head bolts before assembly.Use the following procedure to tighten the cylinder head bolts:
Torque for bolt (1) through bolt (14) in a numerical sequence to 270 27 N m (200 20 lb ft)
Again torque the bolt (1) through bolt (14) in a numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft).
Finally torque the bolt (1) through bolt (14) in a numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft).
Install the rocker arm assemblies onto the cylinder head.
Torque the bolt (15) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence to 270 27 N m (200 20 lb ft).
Again torque the bolt (15) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft).
Finally torque the bolt (15) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft).Note: Tighten the bolt (19) through bolt (27) only after the cylinder head bolts have been given final torque.
Torque for bolt (19) through bolt (27) at any tightening sequence to 43 7 N m (32 5 lb ft)
