Troubleshooting Test Steps Value Results
1. Check for Associated Codes
A. Turn the keyswitch to ON.
B.Connect to Cat Et and check for and active or logged associated codes listed in Table 2.
Associated Code
Result: There is not an associated code active or logged.
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Result: There is an associated code active or logged.
Repair: Troubleshoot the associated code before continuing with this procedure. Refer to the appropriate procedure using the Diagnostic Trouble Code list.
If the problem is not resolved, proceed to Test Step 2.
2. Check for Leaks
A. If any of the codes from the table are present, inspect for the following:
- Exhaust leaks
- Turbocharger piping leaks
- ATAAC leaks
Air System Leak
Result: There are not any leaks present.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Result: There are leaks found.
Repair: Repair the leaks as necessary. Verify that codes are cleared.
If the problem is not resolved, proceed to Test Step 3.
3. Verify the Pressure and Temperature Sensors Readings Are Correct
