Information:
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
Release Of Pressure In The Hydraulic System1. Release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick, and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed, as follows: a. Fully retract the stick cylinder rod.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so that it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Shut off the engine and place key in the "ON" position. Put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "UNLOCK" position.e. Move the control levers for boom, stick and swing to all full stroke positions. This will release any pressure that might be present in the pilot system.f. Return the key to "OFF" position.g. Slowly loosen the fill plug on the hydraulic tank and release the pressure.h. Tighten the fill plug on the hydraulic tank. Tighten the fill plug to a Torque of 68 7 N m (50 5 lb ft).i. The pressure in the hydraulic system has been released and lines and components can be removed. Drain the hydraulic tank oil in a suitable container for storage or disposal.2. Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 135 liters (36 U.S. gal).
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure in the cooling system. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
3. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the cooling system is 34 liters (9.0 U.S. gal). 4. Remove bolts (2), the washers and plate (1).5. Remove bolts (3), the washers and plates (4). 6. Remove bolts (6), the washers and muffler mount (5). 7. Open the right panel access door. Place a drain pan under the main hydraulic pump. Hydraulic oil will flow from the hose assemblies and tube assemblies that are connected to the main hydraulic pump when they are disconnected.8. Disconnect four hydraulic hoses (7) from main hydraulic pump (8). Cap or plug immediately in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic system. 9. Disconnect hydraulic hoses (9) from main hydraulic pump (8). Cap or plug immediately in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic system. Two of the hydraulic hoses are inlet and outlet hoses and two are auxiliary hoses.
Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work.
10. Disconnect electrical wire connection (11), and remove the bolt, the washer and wiring harness clamp (10). 11. Remove two bolts (12), the washers and plate (14), which secure hose assembly (13). 12. Remove six bolts (16), the washers and support (15). 13. Remove eleven bolts (18), the washers and support (17). 14. Remove six bolts (20), the washers and upper shield (19).15. Remove four bolts (21), and disconnect main suction tube (22). 16. Disconnect the two electrical wire connections (23).17. Disconnect electrical wire connection (25).18. Remove two wire ties (24) from the alternator mounting bracket. 19. Disconnect electrical clip (26), electrical terminal (27) and electrical connector (28). 20. Remove bolt (29) and the washer to remove the ground straps.21. Remove bolt (30) and the washer to remove the electrical wiring clip. 22. Disconnect electrical wire connection (31). 23. Remove four mounting bolts (32) and the washers.24. Set refrigerant compressor on the frame of the machine. 25. Remove bolt (34) and the washer to remove the wiring strap.26. Remove three electrical wiring harnesses (35) from the electric starting motor. 27. Remove electrical wiring terminal (36) from the electric starting motor. 28. Remove bolt (37) and the washer that holds wire mount (38). 29. Disconnect electrical wire connections (39) and (40).30. Remove bolt (41) and the washer, and remove the wiring harness clip. 31. Remove the bolts and the washers that fasten the wiring straps (42) to the engine. 32. Disconnect electrical wire connection (43).33. Remove bolts (44) that fastens the grounding strap to the engine. 34. Remove four nuts (45) that connect the fuel pump governor linkage to the engine and the nuts that hold the cables to the side bracket. 35. Remove bolt (46) and the washer to remove the wiring strap.36. Remove wire (47) from the air heater. 37. Loosen hose clamp (49) and remove hose (48). 38. Loosen hose clamp (51) and remove hose (50).39. Loosen hose clamp (52) and remove hose (53).40. Remove bolts (55) and the washer.41. Loosen hose clamp (56) and remove hose (54). 42. Remove two front engine mounting bolts (57), the washers and the support assemblies. Remove the two upper rubber mounts at the front of the engine. 43.
