Information:
1. Remove ring (3) and pin (1) that hold seat (2). 2. Remove seat (2), bolt (4), washers (6) and spring (5).3. Remove the sleeve and bearing assembly from the cylinder and weight assemblies. 4. Remove ring (7) from sleeve (8).5. Remove bearing (9) and washers (10) from sleeve (8). 6. Remove valve (12) from piston (11).7. Remove the ring (15) that holds weight assembly to cylinder (16). 8. Remove weight assembly (13) from cylinder.9. Remove piston (11) and sleeve (14) from cylinder. Remove O-ring seal from sleeve (14).10. Remove speed limiter plug (20), spring and plunger from the governor housing (19). 11. Remove torque control assembly (17). 12. Remove bolt (21) and lock that hold lever (22) to shaft (18).13. Remove lever (22) and shaft from housing.14. Remove the seal from housing (19).15. Remove bearing (24) from the housing with tooling (A). Remove bearing (23) and the plug from the housing with tooling (B). 16. Remove pin (27), spring (25) and detent plunger (26) from levers. A piece of pipe with a notch in each side can be used to hold spring (25) in for removal of pin (26).Assemble Governor
1. Install detent plunger, spring and pin in levers (2). 2. Install bearing (1) with tooling (A). Install bearing (4) with tooling (B). Install levers (2) and shaft into the governor housing. With levers (2) pushed against the bearing on the detent side, clearance between the guide for the governor spring and levers (2), measured on detent side with a thickness gauge (3), must be approximately .135 in. (3.43 mm). With levers (2) pushed against the bearing on the other side, clearance between the guide for the governor spring and levers (2) measured opposite of detent side, must be approximately .100 in. (2.54 mm). If measurements are not correct, remove control levers and shaft and move bearings as necessary to get correct measurements. 3. Remove the shaft and levers and install seal and plug with tooling (C). Install the seal with the lip toward the inside of the housing. Put the torque control assembly (5) in position on the housing. Install the lock and bolts that hold it. 4. Put lever assembly (6) in position in housing (7). Install shaft (8) in the housing through the lever. Install the lock and bolt that hold the lever to the shaft. 5. Install speed limiter plunger (9), spring (10) and plug (11) in the housing. Tighten plug to a torque of 27 5 lb.ft. (38 7 N m).6. Install the O-ring seal (14) on sleeve (15). 7. Install piston (13) and the sleeve in cylinder (12). 8. Put the weight assembly (16) on the cylinder (12). Install the ring that holds weight assembly on the cylinder.9. Install the valve (18) in the piston (13). 10. Install bearing and washers (19) on sleeve (17). Install the ring that holds washers and bearing on sleeve.11. Install the sleeve assembly on valve (18). 12. Install the bolt (20) in the seat (21). Install the washers and spring in the seat.13. Put the seat in position on the valve (18). Install the pin that holds the valve, sleeve and seat together. Install the ring (22) that holds the pin in position.end by: a) connect governor to fuel injection pump housing
