Monitor PanelThis function allows the controller to memorize the corresponding data from the rotation angles of the governor actuator and the no-load engine speed. The controller will determine the target position of the governor actuator. This procedure must be performed when any of the following components have been replaced or the components are reinstalled: The governor actuator, the accelerator cable and the controller. The temperature of the hydraulic oil must be at approximately 50 °C (122 °F).
Enter service code 70. The character display shows the following example: "70 P00". This means "before calibration".
Depress the travel alarm cancel switch (22). The character display shows the following example: 7001This means "governor actuator is moving to the initial position".
When the character display shows the following example, the governor actuator has completed a movement to an initial position: "70 PSP".
At this condition, install the accelerator cable properly, if the cable is not installed.
Start the engine.
Depress the travel alarm cancel switch (22) again. The calibration for the governor actuator will start. During the calibration, the character display displays the following codes:
Table 1
Calibration Codes For The Governor Actuator
Calibration Codes     Description
70 P00     Before Calibration
7001     Shift The Governor Actuator (G/A) To The Initial Position
70 PSP     The G/A Has Completed A Move To The Initial Position
7003     Search The G/A Position For High Idle
7004     Set The G/A Position For High Idle
7005     Collect The Data Of G/A Positions From The Engine Speed Dial 9 to 2
7006     Search The G/A Positions For Low Idle
7007     Collect The Data Of G/A Positions From The Engine Speed Dial Positions 9 To 2
7008     Confirm The G/A Position For High Idle
7009     Confirm The G/A Positions From The Engine Speed Dial Positions 9 To 1
7010     Confirm The G/A Positions From The Engine Speed Dial Positions 2 to 10
7011     Collect The Data For The Engine Speed Feedback Control
70 End     Calibration Is Complete
When the calibration has been completed, the character display shows "70 E nd". Note: In order to stop the calibration in the middle of the process, the power mode switch (19) and travel alarm cancel switch (22) should be pressed and held simultaneously for 2 seconds or more.
An error will be present, if the governor actuator is moving to the initial position or being calibrated and the character display is showing the letter "H" in the fourth character position from the right and not showing a character in the third character position from the right. Depress the travel alarm cancel switch (22). The error code is displayed on the right three character positions. Refer to the following chart for details of the possible error codes.

Error Code Character     Display     Error Description
1     70 HF 01     Engine Stops
2     70 HF 02     Speed Sensor Is Abnormal
3     70 HF 03     Load Is Applied
4     70 HF 04     Faster Than The High Idle Speed

9     70 HF 09     High idle engine speed is lower than the Engine Speed Dial Setting 8 plus 50 rpm
70 Hd 00     Retry Error Or Too Much Hysteresis
Perform the following operations when the character display shows "70 Hd 00".
Depress the fine control mode switch and hold the fine control mode switch (25) until the character display stops blinking.
Depress the boom priority mode switch (23) or the swing priority mode switch (24) in order to select the data that is used as the calibration data.
Depress the boom priority mode switch (23) in order to select the previous calibration data.
Depress the swing priority mode switch in order to select the default calibration data.
Depress the travel alarm cancel switch (22) in order to memorize the calibration data that has been selected.
When the calibration is completed, the character display may flash "70End". Then, a number will be displayed. The cable end for the governor actuator is too loose by 6 full turns, if a set of numbers that is similar to "70 06" is displayed. The numbers on the right side indicate the total number of turns. The display numbers in each position can be from 1 through 0. The cable end of the governor actuator is too tight by 6 full turns, if a set of numbers that is similar to "70 - 06" appears in the fourth position from the left with a minus sign. Again, the numbers on the right side indicate the total number of turns. The four numbers on the right side will indicate the actual engine speed, if a set of numbers that are similar to "70 20 13" appear in the third set. This code means that the engine speed is below the correct
