Information:

2. Put a floor jack in position under the transmission guard. Remove bolts (1) and (2) then remove the transmission guard (3). Weight of the guard is 172 lb. (78 kg).3. Drain the oil from the flywheel clutch and the bevel gear case. 4. Disconnect and remove bottom magnetic tube assembly (5). Disconnect and remove top magnetic tube assembly (6). Remove bolts (7) and magnetic screen assembly (4). Put plugs or caps in all hoses and openings. Put identification on hoses for assembly purposes. 5. Disconnect and remove hoses (8), (9) and (10). 6. Remove cotter pin and pin (11), then disconnect clutch rod (12).7. Remove the bolts (13) that hold drive shaft (14) to drive flange. Remove the drive shaft (14). 8. Remove bolts (16), then remove filter assembly (15). 9. Remove the top portion (17) of the dash. Remove bolts (20) to remove the dash shield bracket (21).10. Remove the bolts (19) and nuts that hold the dash shield (18) to the dash. Remove the dash shield (18).11. Remove floor plates behind dash. 12. Remove hose assembly (23) from top of the flywheel clutch.13. Put wire around the dash to hold it to the support frame.14. Remove bolts (22) from the dash support brackets. 15. Disconnect water temperature sending unit (25). Disconnect oil pressure line (26) and disconnect battery cable (24) from the machine frame. 16. Remove cotter pin and pin (28), then disconnect throttle linkage (27) at governor housing.17. Disconnect battery cable (29) from starter.18. Disconnect ground cable (30) from the machine frame. 19. Disconnect fuel pressure line (32) and fuel line (31) at fuel filter. Disconnect wiring cable (33).20. Push throttle linkage (27) away from the engine.21. Install two 3/4"-10 NC forged eyebolts on the engine and fasten a hoist. 22. Remove two front support bolts (35) and four rear mount bolts (34). Make a final check to be sure that all removals and disconnections have been made from the engine. 23. Remove the engine and flywheel clutch (36) as a unit. Weight of the unit is 2500 lb. (1125 kg). Remove the shims from the frame of the machine. Put identification on the shims so they will not be mixed at assembly.Install Engine And Flywheel Clutch
1. Fasten a hoist to the engine and flywheel clutch (1). Put the engine and flywheel clutch in position over the machine frame. Do not lower the engine and flywheel clutch on to the frame at this time.2. Put shims in position under the rear mounts. Lower the engine down on the frame.3. Install two front support bolts and four rear mount bolts. Tighten all bolts to a torque of 175 to 225 lb.ft. (240 to 300 N m).4. Install the universal joint between the flywheel clutch and transmission. Tighten the bolts that hold the universal joint to a torque of 40 5 lb.ft. (55 7 N m). After installation of the engine and universal joint are complete, check alignment of the universal joint as it is turned. If the rotation characteristics of the universal joint gives an indication of misalignment, use the following procedure. Misalignment of the universal joint can be made correct by addition or removal of shims as necessary between the frame and engine supports or by movement of the engine accordingly. 5. Install filter assembly (2) with the bolts (5) that hold it. Remove caps or plugs from hoses (3), (4) and (6). Install these hoses in their respective locations with the bolts that hold them. 6. Connect top magnetic tube assembly (11) with the bolts that hold it. Install magnetic screen assembly (10) with the bolts that hold it.7. Connect bottom magnetic tube assembly (7) and tighten hose clamps (12).8. Put clutch rod (9) in position, install pin and cotter pin (8) that hold it. 9. Connect hose assembly (14) to the top of flywheel clutch. Install bolts (13) in the dash support brackets. 10. Connect fuel line (16) to the fuel filter.11. Connect wiring cable (17) to the dash.12. Connect fuel pressure line (15) to the wire on the dash. 13. Connect the throttle linkage (18) to the governor housing. Install the pin and cotter pin that hold it to the governor lever.14. Connect the ground cable (20) to the machine frame.15. Connect battery cable (19) to the starting motor. 16. Connect battery ground cable (23) to the machine frame.17. Connect oil pressure line (22) to the engine.18. Install the water temperature sending unit (21) in water temperature regulator housing. 19. Put dash shield (25) in position on the dash and install the bolts (24) and nuts that hold it.20. Install dash shield bracket (26) on shield and engine with bolts (27). 21. Install floor plates (28) with the bolts that hold them. 22. Put center bottom guard (29) in position under machine, then install the bolts that hold it.end by:a) install radiator core and guardb) install air cleaner assembly
