Problem
An incorrect dipstick may have been installed in the engines of certain 776B Tractors and 777B Trucks. This dipstick will indicate that oil level is correct even though the oil level in the engine is low.

Parts Needed
Dealers will need to order parts for this Program. 1 - 2W2958 Gauge-Oil Level
Action Required
Check the part number of the dipstick. If it is a 2W3379 Gauge-Oil Level, replace it with a 2W2958 Gauge-Oil Level. If no part number can be found, measure the length of the dipstick. The dipstick should be 85.7 inches long. If the dipstick is 95 inches long replace it with a 2W2958 Gauge-Oil Level.
