Parameter Descriptions
Injector Codes
Note: The injector codes are not part of the "Configuration" screen on Cat ET. "Injector Codes Calibration" can be found under "Calibrations" in the "Service" menu on Cat ET.The injector code is a number that is found on each of the unit injectors. The ECM uses this number to compensate for manufacturing variations between individual injectors. If you replace any of the unit injectors, you must reprogram the code for the new injectors. Also, if you replace the ECM, you must reprogram all of the injector codes."Product ID"
The "Product ID" parameter allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 8 characters can be entered in the field."Equipment ID"
The "Equipment ID" parameter allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 17 characters can be entered in the field."Engine Serial Number"
Program the "Engine Serial Number" to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. The engine serial number is not preprogrammed on a replacement ECM."FLS" (Full Load Setting)
"FLS" is a number that represents the adjustment to the fuel system that was made at the factory in order to fine tune the fuel system. The correct value for this parameter is stamped on the engine information plate. Only change this value if the engine is rerated or if a new ECM is installed. Factory passwords are required."FTS" (Full Torque Setting)
"FTS" is similar to "FLS". Only change this value if the engine is rerated or if a new ECM is installed. Factory passwords are required."Engine Fan Control"
The "Engine Fan Control" parameter allows the operation of this feature to be enabled or disabled."Engine Fan Reversing Feature"
The "Engine Fan Reversing Feature" parameter allows the operation of this feature to be enabled or disabled."Ether Control"
The "Ether Control" parameter allows the operation of this feature to be enabled or disabled."System Battery Voltage Low Elevated Idle"
The "System Battery Voltage Low Elevated Idle" parameter allows the operation of this feature to be enabled or disabled. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Elevated Idle" for more information."Engine Security System Status"
This parameter allows the Machine Security System to be disabled or removed. If the Machine Security System is removed from the machine and this parameter is not programmed to "Disabled", the engine will not start. Factory passwords are required.Parameter Table
