Problem
A section of the guide tube located in the oil pan may break off at the mounting flange on certain D11N Tractors and 3508 Engines. If the tube does break off an inaccurate oil level reading may result.

Action Required
Remove the existing oil level gauge assembly. Remove the oil pan. Enlarge the oil level guide tube pilot holes in the pan from a 15 mm (.59") diameter to a 18 mm (.71") diameter. Install the new parts listed under the heading Parts Needed. Engines with the long oil level gauge assembly (gauge assembly at the same height as the oil filler assembly) will require the replacement of the oil filler assembly.
