Information:
Introduction
The purpose of this special instruction is to provide detailed instructions to allow the creation of 4 separate troubleshooting harnesses that can be used to troubleshoot issues with the overmold harness installed on C175 engines. Each harness outlined in this instruction is different and is designed to fit a different area related to the overmold harness.Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.Safety Section
Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.
Failure to follow all safety guidelines prescribed in this document and by governing authorities and regulatory agencies may result in severe injury or death of personnel or machine damage.
Personal injury or death can result from improper maintenance procedures. To avoid injury or death, follow the procedures exactly as stated below.
Before servicing/performing maintenance on the machine, electrical power must be physically disconnected; battery plugs must be disconnected from the batteries, or the trailing cable must be unplugged, and warning tags and padlocks shall be applied by a certified electrician. Certified electricians shall perform or direct any electrical work, including any energized testing, repair work in controllers, motors, or other approved compartments, and shall insure that all compartments are properly closed and inspected prior to re-energization. All applicable lock out and tag out procedures must be followed.

This also drives landing wire lengths to vary accordingly Wire connections are to be position to position. Example: socket 1 to socket 1 to pin 1 for each of the 3 connectors. The 3 cables straps tied together can help with wire routing to the 3 connectors.ECM to Overmold 120 Pin Test Harness
General information for the 120-Pin Y- Harness between ECM, Overfoam Harness, and Test Harness.
ECM-1 through 120 = Connector to ECM positions 1 through 120
Over-1 through 120 = Connector to Overfoam Harness positions 1 through 120
Test-1 through 120 = Connector for Test Instrument positions 1 through 120Because there are 120 splices needed for 120-pin Troubleshooting Harness, the splices have been broken out into 3 locations - reference slide 4 for general layout.
Location A Splices are on positions 31 through 75 - connector to ECM
Location B Splices are on positions 76 through 120 - connector to Test Instruments
Location C Splices are on positions 1 through 30 - connector to Overfoam Harn
