Raise the temperature of bearing cone (29), bearing cup (27), bearing ring (28), bearing cup (30), and bearing cone (31). Install bearing cone (29), bearing cup (27), bearing ring (28), bearing cup (30), and bearing cone (31) .

Apply Tooling (H) to the threads of spanner nut (25). Use Tooling (C) to tighten spanner nut (25). Tighten spanner nut (25) to a torque of 1.1 - 1.5 N m (10 - 13 lb in).
Measure the drive shaft and bearing assembly in order to determine the thickness of the shim that will be used under the shaft seal cover. Refer to the appropriate Testing and Adjusting manual for your machine.
Measure the center pin, the spacer, the barrel, and the control plate in order to determine the proper size for the spacer that should be used for the assembly. Refer to the appropriate Testing and Adjusting manual for your machine.

Put the drive shaft and piston assembly (16) in position on a section of suitable pipe or on suitable blocks. Put center pin (23), washer (24), and retainer plate (20) in position on the drive shaft and piston assembly (16) .

Apply Tooling (J) to the threads of screws (22) and allow screws (22) to dry. ApplyTooling (H) to the threads of screws (22) and install screws (22) loosely in order to hold the retainer plate to the drive shaft assembly. Put three pistons (19) in position in order to align the retainer plate. Tighten screws (22). Tighten screws (22) to a torque of 9 2 N m (7 1 lb ft). Remove three pistons (19) from the assembly.

Improper installation of parts can prevent proper operation or cause damage to the system.Make sure that all piston rings are installed with the marks toward the flat end of the piston.
The piston rings are spherical in shape. Install the piston rings with Marks (X) toward the flat end of piston (19). Use Tooling (D), and install the upper piston ring. Install the lower piston ring by using Tooling (D) with Marks (X) toward the flat end of piston (19). Repeat this procedure for the remaining pistons.
