Information:
Personal injury can result from contact with refrigerant.Contact with refrigerant can cause frost bite. Keep face and hands away to help prevent injury.Protective goggles must always be worn when refrigerant lines are opened, even if the gauges indicate the system is empty of refrigerant.Always use precaution when a fitting is removed. Slowly loosen the fitting. If the system is still under pressure, release it slowly in a well ventilated area.Personal injury or death can result from inhaling refrigerant through a lit cigarette.Inhaling air conditioner refrigerant gas through a lit cigarette or other smoking method or inhaling fumes released from a flame contacting air conditioner refrigerant gas, can cause bodily harm or death.Do not smoke when servicing air conditioners or wherever refrigerant gas may be present.Use a certified recovery and recycling cart to properly remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Cap all lines, all hoses, and all tubes and plug all lines, all hoses, and all tubes. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Recover the air conditioner refrigerant from the air conditioner system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.

Remove six bolts (3) and upper grill (1) .
Remove four bolts (4) and lower grill (2) .
Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 in order to remove the upper grill and the lower grill from the opposite side of the machine.

Remove fourteen bolts (6) and lower shield assembly (5) .

Remove floor panel (7) at the center, and floor panel (8) on the left side. The floor panels are removed so that access can be gained to the refrigerant hoses.

Disconnect two hose assemblies (9) from the refrigerant condenser.

Support refrigerant condenser (10). Remove six bolts (11) and refrigerant condenser (10) from the radiator guard assembly.Installation Procedure
Replace the O-ring seals that are used on the hose assemblies with new parts for the assembly.

Support refrigerant condenser (10). Install refrigerant condenser (10) and six bolts (11) on the radiator guard assembly.

Connect two hose assemblies (9) to the refrigerant condenser.

Install floor panel (7) at the center, and floor panel (8) on the left side. Install the floor panels after installing two hose assemblies (9) .

Install lower shield assembly (5) and fourteen bolts (6) .

Install lower grill (2) and four bolts (4) .
Install upper grill (1) and six bolts (3) .
Repeat Step 6 and Step 7 in order to install the lower grill and the upper grill to the opposite side of the machine.
Evacuate the air conditioner system. Charge the air conditioner system. The correct charge is 2.3 kg (5.0 lb). Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.
