Note: The 3512C Engines have one air inlet cover. The 3516C Engines have two air inlet covers. The following procedures describe the removal and installation of the 3516C air inlet manifold.

Remove the tube assembly that connects to air inlet cover (11).
Remove bolts (3) and bolts (10). Remove adapter (8) and adapter (9) from the air inlet covers. Remove the O-ring seals from the adapters.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to air inlet cover (11). The weight of the 3512C air inlet cover is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). The weight of the 3516C air inlet cover is approximately 60 kg (132 lb). Remove bolts (12). Remove air inlet cover (11). Remove the O-ring seal from air inlet cover (11).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to air inlet cover (2). The weight of the 3516C air inlet cover is approximately 30 kg (66 lb). Remove bolts (1). Remove air inlet cover (2). Remove the O-ring seal from air inlet cover (2).
Remove bolts (4). Pry elbows (5) away from air inlet manifold (6).
Remove bolts (7).
Attach a suitable lifting device to air inlet manifold (6). The weight of the 3512C air inlet manifold is approximately 65 kg (143 lb). The weight of the 3516C air inlet manifold is approximately 90 kg (198 lb).
Remove air inlet manifold (6). Remove the O-ring seals from elbows (5). Installation Procedure

Install the O-ring seals on elbows (5). Apply a light amount of glycerin to the bores for the O-ring seals.
Attach a suitable lifting device to air inlet manifold (6). The weight of the 3512C air inlet manifold is approximately 65 kg (143 lb). The weight of the 3516C air inlet manifold is approximately 90 kg (198 lb).
Position air inlet manifold (6) and install bolts (7).
Position elbows (5) and install bolts (4).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to air inlet cover (2). The weight of the 3516C air inlet cover is approximately 30 kg (66 lb). Install the O-ring seal on air inlet cover (2). Position air inlet cover (2) and install bolts (1).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to air inlet cover (11). The weight of the 3512C air inlet cover is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). The weight of the 3516C air inlet cover is approximately 60 kg (132 lb). Install the O-ring seal on air inlet cover (11). Position air inlet cover (11) and install bolts (12).
Install the O-ring seals on adapter (8) and adapter (9). Apply a light amount of glycerin to the bores for the O-ring seals. Install adapter (8) and adapter (9) on the air inlet covers. Install bolts (3) and bolts (10).
Install the tube assembly that connects to air inlet cover (11).
