Always wear goggles when working on air conditioning systems. The system is under pressure at all times, engine running or not. Escaping Freon-12 (C C12 F2 Dichloro Difluoro Methane) can cause freezing of human flesh.Do not smoke while working on air conditioning. Inhaling Freon-12 through any smoking material, although not toxic or flammable, can cause violent illness. Also heat must never be applied to a charged system. See Air Conditioning And Heating Service Manual Form No. SENR3334-01, for more information on removal and installation of lines and refrigerant from the system.
5. Disconnect hose assemblies (10) and (11) from air conditioning compressor (9).
Typical Example6. Remove the bolts and clips that hold wire harness (13), hoses (14) and tube assembly (15) to tube assembly (12). Move them away from tube assembly (12).7. Fasten a hoist to tube assembly (12). Remove the bolts that hold the tube assembly in place, and remove tube assembly (12) from the frame assembly.
Typical Example8. Loosen the clamps that hold elbows (17) to the air cleaners. Remove elbows (17) and tube assembly (16) as a unit.
Typical Example9. Remove clamp (18) and adapter assembly (19) from the air cleaner.
Typical Example10. Remove bolt (20). Disconnect tube assembly (21) at both ends, and remove it from the machine.
