Information:

1. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to the fan spider (1). The weight of the fan spider is 100 lb. (45 kg).2. Remove fan spider from the hub. Be careful not to bend the blades of the spider during removal or storage. 3. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to guard (2). The weight of the guard is 115 lb. (52 kg).4. Remove six bolts, nuts and washers, and remove guard (2). 5. Remove cover (4) and guards (3) and (5). 6. Loosen the adjustment for fan drive bracket (6).7. Remove the V-belts.8. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to the fan drive. The weight of the fan drive is 115 lb. (52 kg). 9. Remove the nuts and plate that hold the fan drive bracket (6) to the engine. Remove the fan drive bracket. 10. Remove plate (7).11. Install a .5 in. (13 mm) spacer behind plate (7) and install the plate with two bolts. This step will prevent the sudden release from the taper fit on the shaft of pulley (8).12. Use tooling (B) to loosen pulley (8) from the shaft. 13. Remove shaft (9) from the adapter.Install Fan And Fan Drive
1. Be sure the contact surface for shaft (1) and the adapter is clean and dry.2. Install shaft (1) on the adapter. 3. Install pulley (2) on shaft (1). Install plate, lock and bolts. 4. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to fan drive (3) and put fan drive in position on the engine.5. Install the plates and nuts. Do not tighten the nuts at this time. Make a replacement of the belts as a set only. Check the belt farthest from the engine block. 6. Install belts (4). Tighten bolt (5) to make an adjustment to the belt tension. Use a belt tension gauge such as a Borroughs Tool Company Part No. BT-3-95 or equivalent. The correct gauge indication is 120 5 lb. (534 22 N) for a new belt. After the radiator is installed and cooling system filled, operate the engine at high idle for a minimum of 30 minutes, then make another adjustment to the belt tension. The correct indication for a used belt is a gauge indication of 90 10 lb. (400 45 N). Used belt tension is for a belt which has more than 30 minutes of operation at rated speed of the engine. 7. Install guards (7) and (8) and cover (6). Tighten the top two bolts on each side to a torque of 27 7 N m (20 5 lb.ft.). 8. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to guard (9). The weight of the guard is 115 lb. (52 kg).9. Put guard (9) in position and install the six bolts, nuts and washers.10. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to the fan spider. The weight of the fan spider is 100 lb. (45 kg). 11. Install fan spider (10) on the fan drive hub. Be sure the mark "FRONT" on the spider is toward the radiator.end by: a) install radiatorDisassemble And Assemble Fan Drive
1. Disassemble fan drive.2. Clean and inspect all parts. 3. Install bearing (9) and seal (5) in hub (4). Install the lip of seal (5) toward the bearing.4. Put a light coat of 2S3230 Lubricant on the seal (5) and put the hub (4) in position on shaft (6).5. Install two spacers (8) and bearing (7).6. Install two washers (3), lock and bolts (2) and tighten the bolts. Bend the lock against the bolts (2).7. Install hub (1) and gasket. Tighten the bolts.8.
