Information:
Parameter Descriptions
"Product ID"
The "Product ID" parameter allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 8 characters can be entered in the field."Equipment ID"
"Equipment ID" allows the customer to enter a description into the Electronic Control Module (ECM) in order to identify the machine. A maximum of 17 characters may be entered in the field. This parameter is only for reference by the customer. This parameter is not required."Engine Serial Number"
Program the "Engine Serial Number" to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. If the ECM is replaced, the engine serial number from the engine information plate must be programmed into the new ECM.Note: When you are requesting factory passwords, always use the engine serial number that is programmed in the ECM."FLS" (Full Load Setting)
"FLS" is a number that represents the adjustment to the fuel system that was made at the factory in order to fine tune the fuel system. The correct value for this parameter is stamped on the engine information plate. Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."FTS" (Full Torque Setting)
"FTS" is similar to "FLS". Factory passwords are required in order to change this parameter."Engine Acceleration Rate"
This feature allows the ramp rate for the intermediate engine speed to be set to an acceptable value. The engine speed will ramp to the programmed intermediate engine speed when the intermediate engine speed switch is activated."Intermediate Engine Speed"
This feature allows the intermediate engine speed to be set anywhere between low idle and high idle. The engine speed will ramp to the programmed intermediate engine speed when the intermediate engine speed switch is activated.System Configuration Parameters

The use of the wrong parameters could cause damage to the engine. The use of the wrong parameters may also void the Caterpillar warranty.
