2 16 106-1792 Taperlock Stud Torque to 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
3 2 5B-2638 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten four bolts:
Before assembly, lubricate the threads with clean engine oil.
1. Hand tighten the bolts.
2. Tighten timing gear housing to bracket bolt to standard torque.
3. Tighten bolts to 44 7 N m (32 5 lb ft).

5 2 0S-1588 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolt:
Before assembly, lubricate the threads with clean engine oil.
1. Remove bolt from the fuel pump group and install bolt (5).
2. Hand tighten bolt (6).
3. Tighten (5) to standard torque.
4. Tighten bolt (6) to 44 7 N m (32 5 lb ft).

8 8 100-6920 Nozzle Adapter Use the following in order to install the nozzle adapter:
1. Coat bore in the head and bore of O-ring seal (9) with liquid soap.
2. Apply Loctite C5A copper anti-seize to the threads.
3. Install the nozzle adapter.
4. Torque to 200 14 N m (148 10 lb ft).

1 18 7W-8301 Cylinder Head Fastener Gp Use the following procedure in order to tighten the cylinder head bolts:
First tighten bolt (10) and then tighten bolt (11).
Refer Illustration 2 for bolt tightening sequence.
1. Tighten bolt 1 through bolt 10 in numerical sequence to 270 25 N m (199 18 lb ft).
2. Tighten bolt 1 through bolt 10 in numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (332 15 lb ft).
3. Again, tighten bolt 1 through bolt 10 in numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (332 15 lb ft).
4. Install the rocker arms for the engine valves and install bolt 17, bolt 15, bolt 16, bolt 18.
5. Tighten bolt 11 through bolt 18 in numerical sequence to 270 25 N m (199 18 lb ft).
6. Tighten bolt 11 through bolt 18 in numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (332 15 lb ft).
7. Again, tighten bolt 11 through bolt 18 in numerical sequence to 450 20 N m (332 15 lb ft).
8. Tighten bolt 19 through bolt 27 in numerical sequence to 47 7 N m (35 5 lb ft).
