Pin Position For Performing Service Work1. Lockpins (1) placed in the service position. To prevent accidental agent discharge during service work or transport of the machine, the lockpins must be placed in the agent cylinder valve trip lever.
Pin Position During Operation Of Machine2. Lockpins (1) placed in operating position. The lockpins must be pulled from the trip lever, and placed in the operation position when the machine is in operation. Check at the start of each shift or at the end of any service work, that the pins are in the operation position.Remove Fire Suppression Cylinders
Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work.
To prevent accidental discharge during maintenance or repair work, place the lockpin in the service position. When service work is completed, place the lockpin in the operating position.
Fire suppression agent can cause breathing difficulties and/or skin irritation. To prevent accidental discharge during maintenance or repair work, place the lockpins in the service position. When service work is completed, place the lockpins in the operating position. 1. Open the access door over the fire suppression cylinder and install lockpin (1) in the service position as shown. 2. Remove hose assembly (4) from the fire suppression cylinders.3. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and tube assembly (3) from the fire suppression cylinders.
Do not lift the fire suppression cylinders by the valve or top plate assembly. Breakage of the valve or other components can occur which will result in uncontrolled release of fire suppression agent. Personal injury can be the result.
4. Loosen brackets (6) that hold the fire suppression cylinders in place. Remove fire suppression cylinders (5) from the machine. The weight of one cylinder is 32 kg (70 lb). 5. If necessary, remove electronic control (8) and alarm group (7) from inside the cab. 6. Remove bracket (9) from over the clips that hold the nitrogen actuator.
Make sure pins (11) and (14) are installed before the hose assemblies are disconnected from nitrogen actuators (13) and (15). Personal injury can be the result if the nitrogen actuators are activated when the hose assemblies are disconnected.
7. Disconnect hose assembly (10) from nitrogen actuator (13).8. Remove the bolts and remove clips (12) to remove nitrogen actuator (13) from inside the cab. 9. Disconnect the hose assembly from nitrogen actuator (15).10. Remove the bolts and clamps to remove nitrogen actuator (15) from the side of the fuel tank.Install Fire Suppression Cylinders
Make sure pins (1) and (4) are installed in the valve assembly of each nitrogen actuator before the actuators are installed. Personal injury can be the result if the nitrogen actuators are activated when they are installed.
1. Put nitrogen actuator (2) in position on the side of the fuel tank and install the clamps and bolts to hold it in place.2. Connect the hose assembly to nitrogen actuator (2). 3. Put nitrogen actuator (6) in position inside the cab and install clips (5) and the bolts that hold it in position.4. Connect hose assembly (3) to nitrogen actuator (6). 5. Put bracket (7) in position and install the bolts to hold it. 6. If electronic control (9) and alarm group (8) were removed, install the new control and alarm inside the cab.

7. Put fire suppression cylinders (10) in position on the machine. Tighten brackets (11) to hold the cylinders in position. 8. Connect hose assemblies (12) and tube assembly (13) to the fire suppression cylinders.9. Install hose assembly (14) on the suppression cylinders. 10. Remove lockpins (15) from the service position and put the lockpins in the operating position as shown.
